Aimazing is a retail analytics platform, leveraging technology to integrate and analyze offline data. The tech retail startup's proprietary technology captures all transactional data in offline retails without the need for a POS system, while their data platform provides performance reports for meaningful engagements with shoppers.
Remarkably, Jun Ting, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aimazing, was just 16 years old when he started his first business, and has two startups prior to the tech company. With multiple failures, successes, and pivots since then, Jun Ting co-founded Aimazing with 2 of his pals from university - Yi Kai Kong and Howard Cheng.
"Aimazing was founded in 2015, and back then we were doing mobile wallets and e-payment authentication systems. We’ve pivoted since then, and now our mission is to connect the world’s offline retail data, a store at a time," Jun Ting shares.

The co-founder recognises that while the e-commerce space is booming, offline retail still represents more than 80% of the market. Aimazing's disruptive innovation tools are tailored to revolutionise the way people shop. "The retail tech industry believes in and champions physical retail as the dominant way to shop, and works to reinvent the offline experience for both shoppers and retailers."
The core of Aimazing revolves around innovation and they are determined to bring about much-needed change to the offline retail industry. "We saw a problem in the fragmented and siloed data points within the retail landscape, and knew we had to innovate and do something out of the box to resolve it," the co-founder shared. This led to the company designing the first and only solution in the market that can collect offline transactional data for retailers without the need for POS integration, which solves huge pain points for many in the industry.
Entrepreneurship is never easy and the infancy stage is often the toughest. Jun Ting vividly remembers convincing his parents when he was 23 to sell off his insurance in order to get capital for Aimazing. "Thinking back, that was wild - at that age, I truly went all-in or nothing!" When all was said and done, Jun Ting's decision proved to be a right one, seeing how far the company has come since beginning operations 6 years ago.
The co-founder's biggest driving factor is the rapid progress Aimazing has made since their humble beginnings in 2015. "We still have a long way to go, but as I look at how far we’ve come since our early days, I feel proud and reinvigorated to continue to strive, knowing that greater things are in store for us."

Having diversity in everyday work is one of Jun Ting's favourite part of the job. "I think many founders and CEOs will agree with me that the most exciting part about our jobs is that we have to wear multiple hats at once. I can be with the marketing team discussing brand strategy in one hour and jump into finance spreadsheets the next." Another aspect that motivates Jun Ting would be making tangible impacts on the retail landscape by implementing innovations that will revolutionise the retail experience for people.
In 2020, Aimazing announced that over 1,000 devices have been installed and with its recent successful pilot project with Hong Leong Holdings, the retail tech company aims to enable more than 10,000 additional data points across malls and retailers in the region in the next 12 months.
